Ok people. Ive got a Futaba Attack 2 Transmitter and im losing range on it very quickly, it happens whether the batteries are fully charged or not and also whatever stick pack or motor i run even the origional 540. The car is a Tamiya TB01 Chassis.

Any ideas would be much appreciated as its beginning to drive me up the wall. And destroying my car.

Cheers people.

I'm guessing that because you use a stick radio you hold it so the antenna is level with the ground. Doing that is much like not extending it all the way. Check the length of your receivers antenna also so its not broken or severed anywhere (if is severed it might still be hanging on).

Make sure the antenna is tightly seated in the radio. I had an older Attack and where the antenna is attached inside the radio, the connection came loose and I started having problems. I had to take apart the radio to fix it. That was after 12 or 13 years though. Have you always had the problem or is it a new problem? Is the receiver too close to the motor or the battery connections? Crystals fully seated? Antenna wire kinked or nicked anywhere? Thats about all I can think of, hope it helps.
