#5 is the hot ticket,
#2 is too expensive for what your getting,
I have the gold pan chassi rc10 from 3 and 4

# 1 is cool and so is 6 if you just get them to shelf and display. they are tether cars. pretty small. you tie a rope to them and nail it to the ground. they have no throttle, just run wide open around and around till they run out of gas. cool but not that cool.

If you want to collect vintage, the only ones of those that could have some serious "vintage" quality are #'s 1,2, an 6. # 5 is a graphite chassis and RPM tranny, it's so far from the original it doesn't even count.

#2 and # 6 are your best bets, a NIB OOP is by far an item who's value will climb if you leave it in the box. BTW the #6 cox racer is circa 1970 or so, and if it's got a box is a definate collector's item.

If I had to pick one, I'd go for #2.

Specializer - Are you collecting for yourself or for profit? If for yourself, then collect what you like. If for profit, you need to do some research on what is the hot ticket.

bill, what to you mean? That RC10 graphite is a super clean example of the RC10 graphite edition...which was produced in kit form and that is the original 6-gear tranny.

my collection ha already been started with an about 1986 or so Kyosho Impact Baja 2000 1/8 buggy :D yes yes, my dad let me take it off C.J.OO. Thank you. It looks exactly like Kyosho vanning and all it needs is to rebuild the rear (probably put together wrong? ) and a .21 engine...ill get a cheap one for starters or clean and shelf the car...leave it for my kids who knows...C.J.OO suggested a force .21 for starters...yuckydog...ill view your auction from time to time ;) Thanks again C.J. and all for the input

I'd say #1 and #6. Keep looking at the RC10s. There are usually a bunch on ebay from time to time. So, I wouldn't rush into one of those.

thanks guys...yes the rims are real aluminum...3 piece..they are made by Tecnacraft (went out of business a long time ago). The rims are pretty rare and usually sell for over $150 - $200 on ebay. Here's an ad from an old RC Car action mag:
