Just painted with no decals yet. Has a Novak Brushless SS5800. Very fast.

Those are the Pro-Line 24 Series Rims. They actually help with the top speed since they make the gearing ratio taller. But they are more for speed runs than racing.

Nice, very nice. One thing you definately need to change though...get rid of those Tamiya connectors...please...get Deans. It'd be a shame to see that body ruined by a melted Tamiya connector (which probably will happen if you're running an overgeared brushless system).

Not my style, but how's your steering? Dosen't look like much there.

Put some 24mm tires on it and a Stratus, Mazda 6 or Alpha body and the car will be faster and handle better.... Get rid of those connecters before you melt them.....

Those wheels and body are intended to sit on a shelf and look pretty....

Of course. That is my display setup. I only ran it for one pack just to see how the SS5800 ran. I ran out of deans connectors and just got them from Tower yesterday so I will be swapping out the Tamiya connectors this weekend.

Nice body...but the wheels make it look like a cartoon. I just don't think big wheels were meant to go with the muscle car genre. :)

Funny you should say that since the inspiration for the car setup was from a recent issue of one of the Mustang Magazines I have that covered a car show where they had a dozen or more 2005 Mustangs with large rims.

It is the stock gearing I think. I don't remember if I used a larger 64 pitch pinion or not. It is actually very fast and has great acceleration even with the larger tires. The SS5800 puts out a lot of power.

As far as the steering, the tires don't rub. It's tight but they stay clear.

I like the jet black look...and the rims...its tight..leave it that way...

Another voting "No" on the rims, chrome is fine..but not oversized chrome. Some black dyed 5-spokes shined real good would look nice IMO.

Looks cool. Keep it the way YOU like. If you want to paint it pink and put truck tires on it, go right ahead. Sometimes it's just fun to see a car rolling aroung in a parking lot and not have to worry about aerodynamics, handling, etc. :)

I've seen mustang bodys on truck platforms before. Definitely different looking! lol!

caponeman- not trying to knock your work, I LOVE the black body. Just not a huge fan of spinners and dubs and all that stuff. But hey, whatever floats your boat.;):)

I understand. I know that you see a lot of dopey celebrities or drug dealers rolling around on huge wheels with spinners. Here in Georgia, it's funny to see people driving around in their Ford Escorts with plastic spinner hubcaps from Wal-Mart on their 14 inch wheels.

I remember a comic book when I was growing up in the 80's that had a bunch of drawn hot rods with oversized tires (wish I could remember the name of that comic or magazine). Anyway, that was more of what I was going for than a bling-bling look.
