Hey fellas I think it is time that we show a little recognition for our pit crews!!!
After all if it wasn’t for them who would refuel our cars or make a quick fix while we’re in the driver stand.
So tell us who is a part of your pit crew?
Is it a friend, girlfriend, wife, family, or just some guy down at the track.

Some guy at the track. Well a really fast guy at my track. Who let me race his truck a few times because mine was beyond repair (unless I spent $100 for a new engine). WHEW that thing WAS dialed.

Me!
I'm also the fuel guy, jack man, window cleaner, water bottle guy, temp gun man...
Actually, whoever feels up to it. Racing with a bunch of buddies for nothin' more than braggin' rights, we all pit for each other. The guys that aren't racing or turn-marshallin' are usually helping the ones that are.
Sometimes it's just better to go out and have fun while racing than to be yelling at the pit guy (who can't hear you for all the nitro engines anyway.).
Too many times I've seen guys racing and their Wife/Girlfriend be fueling them up...then it happens..the car dies....it gets sent over to the pits...she's having touble starting it back up...he's yelling..(like it would help), and when it's all said and done, they end up ticked off at each other...
anyway..back to the question...whoever happens to volunteer..

can I show recognition for my sponsors? I have no pit crew except me myself and I, but my girlfriend is my sponsor.. bought my new ride, and supports me at the track, comes and watches me, never acts bored or complains, just smiles and talks to me. We have a great time. btw I really want an FT T3 to go with my FT TC3, but I won't push my luck ;-) later

Wow, that is a mighty fine women you got there!!!
I wish I could get my girlfriend to be enthusiastic about my hobby.
She doesn’t complain or anything and occasionally will play with my cars around the yard. But when it comes to going down to the track and helping me out, she doesn’t dig that to much.
I guess she’s just an indoor chick. Oh well.
I usually just get some guy at the track to top off my tank and make mid-race repairs.

My whole family goes to the track. My wife, 3 year old daughter and 8 month old son. My daughter is actually turning out to be quite the little marshall (during practice rounds). She gets all excited when someone needs her help and she runs out and very gently pics up their car, points it the wrong way (hey its better than being upside down or against a pipe) and then kneels down next to it and starts discussing how pretty the colors on the body are. Then she tells it bye and skips off the track. Kind of a time consuming ordeal, but the guys at the track love it and think it's great. As far as who pits for me, usually my buddy Victor Wu, who races different classes than I do so we're always available to pit for each other. :)

I'm my own pit beotch, as Steve says. (So I have to yell at myself for spilling fuel everywhere. Actually my track appionts a marshall to do all the work most of the time. We try to run the same types of fuel to make it easy on the guy.

I run up on the toes of whoever is standing there with purple fuel in their bottle. Then I beg a little. "Hey Man...since my truck is right there would you mind?" :D Works most of the time and saves me a lot on fuel! ;)
Just kidding!

My son pits for me (22yrs). I (49+yrs)usually do the tuning but he is learning the art very well. He is extremely fast (3seconds) a stop for just fuel and can repair anything if needed. His reward is that I usually race 2-3 trophy races a season and he races the last trophy race of the season and I pit for him ( I'm a tad slower though). Last year I/we had a 1st,2nd,3rd and he had a 1st. We have a great time together and always have FUN!

I do all my own work on my expensivly complicated work of technoligical wonder, or in plain english... my bolink legend.
I think I'll give my pit man (me) a reward for doing good work... where did those chocolate bars go? :D :p
