I am just getting into the hobby and am about to buy my first car. I am either going to get a RC10T3 or a Rustler. What do you think would be better? Any personal experiences? They will be electric.
Thanks,
Dustin

Ok,simply put, the rc10t3 is a better race car with better performance, The rustler is more of a basher, which can be upgraded to race.It would take twice as much cash to upgrade a rustler to race then it would to buy a box stock ft t3 or justa ateam t3.
If your really unexperienced i suggest you go with the rtr t3. If you have a little experience under your belt get a team t3 and add your own electronic and built it yourself. My t3 went a lot of bashing around during the week, and when it came to the weekend, i never finished worse then forth in the a main. The only part i ever broke was
A front control arm from smacking a pole at around 30mph, everything else is great.
The rustler i had that a bought used had a nosiy tranny, the transmission wasnt nearly as smooth as the t3's stealth,The stock tires sucked and the servo saver wasnt a very good basher one.
My all around vote would have to got to the t3.

Welcome aboard. I have both cars and they are both good depeding on what you are looking for. If you plan on getting into racing go for the T3. Its a superior car for racing. Its more tunable, has a smoother suspension and has more aftermarket parts. If you are looking for a car to bash around the neighborhood and play "tag" with your buddies go with the Rustler. Its a very tough car that can take a lot of abuse and come back for more. It handles well has good speed and there are a good amount of aftermarket hopups for it. This is a popular question so you may want to use the "search" function if you don't get a lot of responses and see what people have written in the past. I don't think you would be disappointed with either car. Good luck :)

I agree with RC Junkie. Both of them are good vehicles. The rustler is certainly capable of being competetive plus it will allow you to experience the hobby without wieghting you down financially. Enjoy whichever you get and post some pics for us! :p

I have a Nitro Rustler, which is somewhat different than what you are looking at, but I can say that the truck will take some pounding. From what I have heard, and will soon know when I get mine in a month or so hehehe, the T3 is a TOUGH truck, and will be fast enough that if you do ever get into racing, and believe me the bug will bite you. It will be one that you can walk righ to the track with and assuming you pilot well, you can hang with the others. Its all about what you are looking to do with the truck, and how much you are willing to invest in it.

experiences eh? well one time this girl and I.... Oh you ment experiences with these cars! :D my brother has a T3, its a good definitly worth looking at and from what I've seen of the ruslter it should also be a good choice.
Do you have a hobby shop near you? if you do see what truck they carry parts for, you want to make sure you can get replacments if needed. Also see what other people are running so they can give you help

You and a girl!? Are you kidding? j/k ;)
I would have to say spend the most money you can up front so you won't have to fork out even more money down the road a few months for a new car.
