I am drawing my own vinyl designs to place on my shells, on the outside, as well as on the inside to use as paint masks. I drew a bunch of ideas up on paper and now want to draw them on my comp and print them off.
I have access to three programs, Photoshop, AutoCAD and Corel Draw.
Can anyone recommend which one would be best suited for this application?
Thanx.

photoshop or coreldraw will be the simplest.Photoshop being my preference.Easiest thing to do is scan the pics into your computer and import the sketches into photoshop for use as a template using layers to draw over it.
Hope this helps

I use Corel Draw and like it a lot. It also works with most vinyl cutting machines if you ever end up investing in one.
However, I think I am in the minority, I hear most people using photoshop for design these days. I have stuck with Corel because I learned it back in the 90s when it was more popular and I don't want to re-invest time learning a new program. Having said that, if you need to learn something, Photoshop seems to be the leader these days and you may want to go that route.

pinolelst - that's a cool trick. Do you end up with a vector image in photoshop that you can manipulate?

I used AutoCAD for many years, I took an Engineering Design and Drafting at Univeristy and my wife does Civil Engineering. I was very fluent with AutoCAD, but havent used it for a while.
Thanx for all the input, it is greatly appreciated. I think I will play with Photoshop since I have used it for some web design work.
Again, thanx.

Easiest way to get an autocad drawing into CorelDraw is to export the drawing out of autocad as a (.dxf) file. Corel seems to like that type of file other than the (.dwg) file.
at the command prompt type: dxfout
and it will create the file in .dxf format.
