Quicky question !!!!

Hi guys, I'm about ready to fix the props on to the shaft, do you guys normally glue the threads or what ?

I have one running in reverse so I guess it will just undo itself straight away if I don't glue.

Any advice ?

Gluing is one way, a 'lock nut' plus glue is better, and a shaft with reversed threads (prop too) is even 'more better'. Turning against the threads, or with the threads (however you want to describe it) is never the 'best' idea, but sometimes it's all that you can do. So, any precaution you may think of is probably better than nothing. Just don't add enogh 'precaution' to make the boat 'lop-sided'...

Lock-Tite all the rop nuts. Be sure to get the medium strength, or you will have to use a torch to get them back off.
