Car-Wild willy 2
ESC-Novak rooster
motor-speed gems ruby
radio-airtronics rival sport
1. After i turn my radio off, the car sometimes moves an extra 2 inches(almost like a power surge). What could be causing this?
2. i have an old radio shack battery(900 mah, 8 cell double a)if i found a different plug for it, could i plug it into the reciever to stop the glitches or power surges?
3. i have to turn my throttle trim to full right to stop it from going in reverse(when it is in the neutral position). what could be causing this?
thanks guys

1. I'm guessing you're turning your car off first, then the radio right? My friend always turns his radio off first and his car will go crazy for a second or two until he grabs it or catches it.
2. I doubt it, 8XAA = 9.6 volts and isn't that too much for a receiver?
3. Not sure what you mean.

You could try setting up your ESC again

1) everybody has answered this already
2) don't even think about plugging 8 batteries into your receiver! You shouldn't need any extra Rx batteries if you're running a 6 cell pack in a Wild Willy2.
3) Turn your throttle trim back to the middle and then reset the ESC.

If you have ever unplugged a lamp or something when it is still on and drawing power you will see a small smark in the outlet so its the same thing when you click your switch. That little spark (its bigger in your house) is just enough to make your car twitch. Do not plug 8 cells into your receiver, unless you like seeing stuff smoke.

its very common for a car's receivicer to send out a "clitch" when the radio is turned off first.
try this, leave your car on, disconnect your motor, then turn your radio on/off every couple sconds, you should hear your steering servo trying to work, but with an ESC you dont hear any moving parts, it just tells the car to move.
so, its normal, like the rest said, turn off the car first.

car head, are you turning off your radio before your car?? try turning the car off first, unless of course it is fun for you to dance in circles chasing your car!! lol, i could see how that would be interesting, i have chased down my car after the receiver batteries fell out!! not my idea of fun though :D
