Have you seen the gear chart for the RS4 MT, well if not here it is below. My question is do you think this is right, I just think it looks wierd. I probably wrong but was just wondering I am using a 16x3 with 33 pinion/96 spur combo. It is fast through it batteries like water. http://www.geocities.com/geokojak61/gearratio.html

You don't have to run that ratio - those are only suggested ratios, but the most appropraitae ratio can only be determined by running the car. If it's going too fast, then drop a tooth or two on the pinion gear.

It is fast but accelerates slow it seem to have better acceleration with a 22p/96s. It seems like this chart is backwards. The ratio of 7.8 is close to the high range of the recomended setting. The 11.35 is way out of spec but seems better. I just thought this chart was wierd. Thanks for the answering so fast. :cool:

The acceleration is clearly going to be better with 10 fewer teeth on the pinion gear. I think you're way over geared.

Thanks, I will go back to 22p/96s. I am also going to tell HPI that they need to redo that chart. :) :cool:
