I just found one of these on eBay for $75 and bought it. It's not listed on hudy's site anymore so I'm assuming its an older model. Any info on this? The guy had it listed as a stock lathe, which is what I want. Here's a couple questions maybe some of you guys can answer:
1. Whats the difference between a stock and a mod comm lathe?
2. Do these normally include everything needed to cut comms or are there other things to buy?
3. Whats the difference between a regular and picco nitro engine? Off topic but I've been dying to find out! :D

i have a extrem hudy mod lathe. IT will cut rebuildable stocks and mods.

If your is a stock lathe you will only be able to cut motors by removing all the brush hood hardware. Big pain to do and the cuts will not be as good as they would be with a mod lathe were the entire armature is removed for cutting.

Digex, You should have looked around this site before buying that lathe. :( Helonu is right. Check out the Electric Forum here under "Mod Lathes". It will explain a little better. You might be able to convert yours to a mod lathe. Contact Hudy & see if they can help. Good luck. :)

Where is the "Motor forum"? I'm trying to look at what you're talking about and can't find it. Thanks.
