Bling Bling?

Just got those MOAB tires and V6 40 series rims, and I must say there HOT BLING BLINGIN BLINGY BABY! [if you know what I mean]. But thats not why I posted. Ok so I spent 2 hours masking off my new hummer SUT body, I Was gonna do it blue and silver, it WAS gonna look awesome. SO after i got done masking i took it out side. It was cold but not snowing mind you. and I painted the silver, well first off I forgot how much spray paint shoots it every where and it got all over places were the blue was gonna be, so i riped the masking tape off then it started snowing so now the paint runned and looks all crappy, I am thinking I will just do another coat of silver and hope for the best. any body painting gyru's who know any tricks to saving a ruined body? :eek: the good thing is it only cost me 25 bucks so not a big loss.

I ruined a body recently too, would be good to know if I can save it.

I just looked at mine and I think I found a new painting style..... THe humidity in the bag the body was in [it was in my room and I did not want ti to stink] cause the paint to drip, but it left behunde these little bitty vine like patterns that will look awesome when I paint over with blue, like lightning but ALOT of it. I may have just started some thing....

get some paint thinner...and just rub the paint and it should come off good...its only lexan and it should come off easy...

Mine did not turn otu so bad. And when peopel ask "whats that right there [a blue smudge]" I Will simply reply " it does not matter what my body looks like, only the rear, cause thats all you will be seeing! ;)

Chevy, paint thinner is a no no on lexan. It will fog it up in an instant. Morter, that body looks fine.

how much does a painter kit cost? a car isnt totally customized untill the body gets a paint job :cool:

19.99 a pair, 29.99 for the tires cost me 99.96 for the tires and rims, the body was a steal because I got 25 off an order of over 150 on tower so every thing was only 125.99. Tec, I know it looks fine :p :D
