Just wanted to pass along some info, if anyone is looking for something like a dremel, Black and Decker makes an awesome one called the RTX. I went to work on my used XXCR for the first time tonight, and found that most of the screws attaching the transmission and the rear end to the chassis were stripped! (the heads). I started to panic, and then in the spirit of Tim "the tool man" Taylor ARGH ARGH ARGH ARGH I decided it was a good excuse to buy a new tool!
I went down to the local Home Depot and finally found the rotary tool setups. I had seen the commercial for it, and decided to give it a try. After all, it was $20 cheaper than the similar Dremel kit. It came with a flex shaft, 53 bits and accessories, and it's adjustable! It only cost me $60 plus tax.
Needless to say, I slotted those stripped screws in a couple minutes, no problem. I can't wait to put this thing to work. So, if you're in the market for a new rotary tool, you might want to give the RTX a try. Here's a link to Black and Decker's site...
