I have a Kyosho Lazer ZX-R 4WD buggy that I'm thinking about putting on ebay soon. I really like the car but I've got about 10 r/c cars now and I just don't have the time or $ to keep up with all these cars. What do you guys think I could get for a car that old? The car is in wonderful condition. People at the track think it's some kind of new car and ask me all about it because it looks so good. I have enough spare parts to make another Lazer with the exception of the rear shock tower. And I have several new unused rims too and a new body. I don't want to put it up for auction if I can't get anything for it. But I have no idea what a fair price would be at all.

Depends on the vehicle. Something like yours is a really nice car, but since Kyosho's part support for their older models is non-exsistant (sp?), the value plummets big time, even w/ it being in great condition. The fact that you've got spares is a bonus...but your best bet is to sell it to someone who collects and restores old-school r/c's and just shows them off.

i was in your shoes about 2 years ago...what i did was search ebay for similar cars and track those auctions. that will give you an idea for what others are willing to pay for it. lately, a really nice lazer with almost any kind of electronics will go for around $150 or so. if it is new, still in the box, untouched, it could go for $400. hope this helps,

I didn't want to sell it if I couldn't get $100.00 for it. But I have no idea if that was a fair price to charge. You can still get some parts from tower for the Lazer but not all of them. I'll get her cleaned up and see what happens. If I don't get a good offer I'll just put her up as a show car in my garage.

I would keep the car and get an awesome painter to paint a custom body for it and leave it as a show car. In like 2 years, you might be able to get more because more people will not have them.
