which one a losi triple-xt or AE T3. PERFORMANCE, STRENGTH, and QUALITY are the big issues, after seeing the triple-xt on page 64 of the jan issue of rcca, I've fallen in love with it. That is the sweetest r/c I've ever seen. I really am thinking about racing electric. Does losi make blue specs for nitro trucks?

I think the XXXT is the best. But thats ,my opinion. Im with ya on the falling in love with the XXXT.

About the tire question, all of the tires are the same. Nitro tires = electric tires.

I kinda feel stupid about the tire thing now, lol. Now I'm not sure if I want a xxx or xxx t, or even a xxx nt. Is electric hard? I really don't want to spend a lot of money. I have a charger, a stick pack, and radio. Then I'll need a motot, which one, what turn? racing so, 11? I don't know, thanks

Well, if your a beginner, you probably want to race in the stock class. 27 turn motors. it will be easier on your budget because you wont have to cut the commutator, and you dont have to spend 50 bucks on a motor.

i like the rc10 t3 and since your starting out you should go with the ready to run t3,

This is like asking which is better, Ford or Chevy... Everyone has thier own opinion..

If you're going to race, don't get a ready to run anything (my opinion). 'cause puttin' it together is half the fun and if something breaks (and, it will) you'll know how to take it apart and fix it. Also, I think both the T3 and the Losi are fairly equal as far as strength and quality. Both are high performance and like Joe sez, it comes down to personal preference to which is really better.

As for saying which one is better is really a tough question. I have been racing for over 15 years i think that associated T3 is an easier kit to biuld..however from a racing stand point i think the losi truck is easier and more of a forgiving truck to drive on the track.

i have built both the xxxt and FT T3, eather one is not difficult to build, the only diffrance i would say is that the T3's shocks are a little more of a pain because you have to install the seals where the losi you don't have to. but still a 7 year old could do eather.
Maintanance is the same on both.

I'd go with the T3 no doubt, but that's because i'm slighly partial...but just a little! http://www.rccaraction.com/ubb/wink.gif

For a beginner I think the T3 is a better truck. Ive built both and the T3 seemed easier to build and to work on. I beat the heck out of my cars and the only thing Ive ever busted on the T3 in 2.5 years was the gears in a steering servo when I plowed a curb. I cant say the same for the Losi.

I would go w/ the XXX-T. The T3 is a little old.

I don't own either but I'd say go with the T3 and if you can afford it get the FT. With the way Associated is that truck will not be discontinued any time soon. Losi (just my opinion-not trying to start an arguement) changes its designs too much for me. They both seem like great trucks. See which one your LHS has the least trouble getting parts for.

I'm leaning towards the xxxt

if losi's past record for changing designs shows anything the xxxt will be on the market for awhile, how long was the xx and xxt on the market 4 maybe 5 years, the only short lived losi was the nxt that i can remember, about the same length of time as the t2.
You can't go wrong with eather truck, but the xxxt definatly has a lot more life in it then the t3
