What are your guys' thoughts on the Tamiya TA03R-TRF? I might get one from this guy and he has it hopped up pretty good. He has a lot of blue aluminum upgrades and just recently changed the rubber shielded bearings to metal shielded. I know it is discontinued, but where do I buy replacement/hop up parts for this chassis? Thanks for reading.

the only real place to find replacments is on ebay...For the record, the TRF kit was (and still is) Tamiya top-of-the-line kits, usually the "never need any hop-up" kind of kit...so I'm not really sure what he added to it...and if he added stuff to it, I don't know what would still be available to hop-up
If you are planning on racing - then I'd stay away from the kit...its just about a collector's item and you're going to find out no very competitive...If you want it as a collector's item, then you might have yourself a good deal - but that's only (really) if the dude used Tamiya-only hop-ups...
So unless you can get it for a really good deal - and I'm talking around $100USD, then I'd stay away :) As much of a Tamiya fan I am, this car cannot hang with today's kits...
