Me and my bro are argueing about which car is better for all types of racing a Team Losi XXX-S Graphite Plus or a Tamiya TA-04 TRF i think the Losi is better and he thinks the Tamiya is better. I thought a third opinion would settle our arguement so post away.

The e-maxx is probally the best electric monster truck out there. Just take out the johnson type mosters and replace them with some epic motors.

You really have to define "better".
Most will say XXX-S because it's what their LHS supports. Their LHS stocks both the car and the replacement parts (most LHS's don't stock Tamiya kits or parts anymore). In this respect, the Losi is definatly better.
As far as which is going to be the better racer... that's in the air. It's already been proven that the TRF cars are consistant internation winners (though have realitvly little race use here in the U.S.). The XXX-S have been widely successful in racing here in the States (which also helps its popularity and therefor, it's "better" factor in many peoples eyes).
Then there is the comfort factor. Because of the above two, people are more comfortable with the Losi. They see it at their LHS and at their local races. They don't see the TA04. Is that because it's not as good? Certainly not. People are just more comfortable with what they see and know.
Unless you do a side-by-side test and figure out which one which one fulfills your needs and expectations, I don't think either one is "better" than the other. Who knows, you may drive both and then decided that the TC4 is better than either of them.
Also, arguing over opinions is pointless. Replace TA04 and XXX-S with chunky peanut butter and creamy peanut butter. Which is better? See how pointless it is?

e-maxx rocks. espially with all the cool hop-up parts availible. if you want an stadium truck or buggy get the t4 factory team or the b4 factory team. I heard 4wd buggys don't hold up that well. so don't get an losi buggy.

You heard? You heard wrong. "Don't get a Losi 4WD" is so 2 years ago.
Anyhow, I believe the TRF is a more advance car then and xxx-s. More tuning options, better CG, lighter.... However, like the comments above, if your comfortable with the car you can be very fast.
Right now I'm liking my T1R. Very fast right out of the box.

If you want the best car either get a magic wheel or a radio shack. Can't go wrong with either of them.

This is basically like asking people what car they have or are about to buy. You'll get the exact same answers.

First off you said all racing, will that include offroad? If so, you're screwed when it comes time to actually jump something...;) A good all around racer would probably be any 4wd buggy. It can be converted to a TC, monster truck, ST, or whatever you want pretty easily. My 2 cents though.

Now, how has this veered off to offroad cars? If you look, he was stating on-road cars, and now why are you saying he should get off-road? Maybe he likes on-road, or that is all that is offered for racing in his area..

It's just for onroad racing.

You said that you can turn a 4wd buggy into a monster truck. I have a TT01 aswell and was thinking about turning that into monster truck. What parts would i need.
