Hi,
I'm in the central NJ area, an was thinking of getting an electric RC street ( maybe a rally?) Car to mess around with, probably race in the beginners class a few times.
A long time ago i used to race a Team Associated RC10, but that was in FL, and I sold all my stuff.
What are most of the people using at the tracks around NJ these days? I don't want to plop down a ton of money on a car and radio.
I was looking at the Tamiya Audi A4 STW Quattro kit (using the TA03-Chassis) and a magnum Junior, but that was like $260 for just the basics. Would the F103RS be a better choice? What's the difference between the TA03(F)(R) & (RS)?
Are Fm radios that much better than AM? Because I could save $$ on an AM. Are Tamiya kits any good for racing? Or should I go with Associated or HPI? I would prefer something I would have to put together myself, that's half the fun! Any suggestions as to where to get the best bang for the buck would be appreciated...
Thanks
