Nikko parts

Hi all,

Seems like this forum is for a much higher-end group, but since I'm striking out everywhere else, I need to give it a shot.

I have a Nikko R/C racecar that needs a repair (one of the drive gears is stripped) but I have been unable to locate a source for parts and/or repair info.

My kids are begging me to play with this car and I would love to oblige them. Any and all help would be appreciated.

Have you tried to go to Radio Shack?
they usally do some repairs on cars, if not, they night have some parts for it.

Usually with the Tyco and Nikko type cars when they break you cant repair them. They are kind of disposable razors. When they are used up you toss them. Thats what got me into the higher end cars 13yrs ago. If you and your kids are really into RC then you might look into one of the new RTR vehicles. At least when it breaks(they always do) then you can repair it.

Boy its sad that I know this but hey my first semi-real car was the nikko dominator...twin 360 motors 4WD. I loved that thing broke the plastic bumper off it when it was real cold outside, so my dad made me an aluminmum one. Hope this helps.

Dude the best toy car i ever had was a tyco fast traxx it was a tracked vehicle and it was really fast i'd say about as fast as a stock stampede. I'd like to see more tracked vehicles other than the kyosho blizzards they are pretty expensive even the electric one. Trash that Nikko thing and get an entry level hobby car or truck for them for christmas or their birthday, maybe a bolink car or a ready to run from traxxas
