My first car, a TC3 RTR has been my "race vehicle" for almost 3 years now. I have really gotten into racing and have learned a lot on the way.As I look around, most guys are sporting 'pro-level' cars and are making awesome lap times. Do you believe my car is handicapped in the midst of exotic cars? Does it make sense from a racing standpoint to look at a more precise machine?
Thanks

It doesn't get much more precise than a tc3. What other cars are those guys racing?

racing is 90% driver.....5% luck and 5% chance.... if u cant drive u cant win... but ur equipment has to be reliable.... so keep it clean and maintained....

Everyone is running the Tamiya 415 now.

Well to answer your initial question- No, I don't think you will see a difference. As long as you have even a semi-competitive car then you should be able to hang with those guys just fine, just as long as you can drive. Like ayk said, its 90% the driver.

Alot of it has to do with your setup too. You will never be able to drive to your full potential unless your car is setup right for you. I race offroad which is a little different, but my setup is often the deciding factor over whether I can drive well or not. Im working on my setup constantly because the track conditions change from week to week and your setup has to change too.

Thanks everyone. I'm going to stick by my guns and continue running the TC3.
