Ok I got my boat. It is a 31 inch long 10 inches wide and about 3 inches deep. I want to run a gas engine. I see a 25cc in the for sale section. Would that be to big?
Where do I find all the hardware? Prop shaft, prop, Engine mount.....Im definetley new to all this.
I have some pictures of the boat, however everytime I try to post pictures on here it will not work????

If anyone knows what a flat bottom V-Drive boat looks like this is a exact copy of one. I want it to look just like my boat I run.
Blown 454 Nordic....

not to sound like a party pooper...but that sounds like WAY too much engine for the boat. most 31" boats have 3.5-7.5 cc nitro engines.

Just keep this in mind. My real boat has a blown 454 that makes about 750 H.P. 19 feet. so a small motor will not do....

well, in that case...put some big a$$ trim tabs on the back and stay away from full speed turning :D

It won't float with the weight of a Zen in it! Plus you'll need a big shoehorn to put it in there. Take your blown 454 and put it in a Chevette, you'll get the idea. :)

No kidding Ron, maybe even like a Geo Metro. I have a my mono is 33" long and uses a 3.5cc nitro. Speeds of 50+ make me think that that is a good power to weight ratio ;)

I would say so, that is very fast for a 3.5!!!

Well, my 22lb 55" boat goes 40+ on a Zen, so you do NOT need that kind of motor in a 30" boat. Take your 19 foot boat and put in a 6000 cubic inch locomotive engine and you get the idea. Itw ould barely even float. A better match would be a .21 (3.5cc) or a .46 (7.5cc) nitro. I would go with a .21

Sounds like he's mechanically inclined. Nordic w/454..... I'm all ears brother. :) My cup of coffee is more directed towards single outboard rigs, but will never turn away from a big block buddy. Btw, I'm talking Allisons, STV, Streams etc... Even a fast basser has a place at my table. :)

Ok so I get the idea.... So is there a smaller motor that I can run gas in? I really wanted a power plant I could run gas oil mix without needing some expensive gas to run this.
If thats not possible does anyone have a nice used engine in the size I need. Im sure if this runs 35-40 it will be plenty fast enough. I know I could make it electric but that is not of any interest to me at all. I want something that has a pull cord and spark plug. I don't want to have to screw with a glow plug. Am I making any sense?
