Ok, I am getting a new car what do you think?
Car: Stampede
ESC: Tekin Rebel
Motor: Trinity Monsters of touring(don't know what turn yet
Battery: Duratrax 2000(2 of them)
Connectors:PowerPole
and Bearings.
If I have anymore $$ I will get the ESP Nerf Bars, Wheelie bar, and Bumper,
Any suggestions please?? I am looking to spend about $300-325. Any place cheaper the Tower??

You should also get the RPM 5 X 11 bearing carriers ecspecially for the rears. Omnimodels may be cheaper. Check them both out and compare the price. Omnimodels has free S&H over $100.

That sounds like a great setup. You can't go wrong with the Pede.
I'd say stick with a 17t or higher motor. For runtime sake, or you will have to change the gearing.
--------
FYI: The nerf bars are the small half square tubes that stick out from under the doors of off road trucks. In real life they save lower body panels, and doors. In the Pede they just look good, but don't do much work.

Do RC Car Kings have a website? What do you think about the HPI RS4 MT? Or the Kysho Quad Rider ATV?

I don't think RC car kings has a web site, but you can try. I would definetly recomend a stampede to you. I have had 3 and kicked myself for getting rid of the first 2. One thing you need is a slipper clutch if one isnt on the truck already, I can't remeber if they include them or not anymore. You have bearings on the list, thats good. I would skip the ESP stuff, CVDs are a better mod, so are aluminum shocks. The ESP bummper on my second truck almost broke after bending so much from hitting stuff.

yes....go for the pede man. my wifes older son broke his sledge in such a way that you need to take whole tranny apart just to replace yolks! so he said poopy on sledge. he wants a pede now....lol http://www.rccaraction.com/ubb/smile.gif http://www.rccaraction.com/ubb/smile.gif http://www.rccaraction.com/ubb/smile.gif

The Pede rocks. Sounds like youve done your homework. Get the heavy duty bearing carriers, theyll hold up better for jumping and general abuse. The wheelie bar is a good add because the truck does pull good wheelies and that will save your gears from grinding when the rear bumper drags the ground. The aluminum bumper is worthless. It looks good but if you hit anything it will bend like a pretzel and eventually break from being bent and then straightened. RPM makes a good bumper that works and its only like 6 bucks from tower. The nerf bars kinda look cool lookin but they dont do anything. If someone T-bonz your truck all they will hit is tires. Get a set of MIP cvd's before you blow a ton of cash on aluminum goodies. they make the truck a lot faster and more bullet proof. Have fun.

CVDs do not make a car any faster. At least not that you will notice.
They are mearly more efficient then the stock output shafts, but not so much that "it goes a lot faster".

Actually the plastic sliders are lighter and will spool up faster. Plus they dont bend and trust me, CVDs will bend. If any thing the plastic yokes coming out of the tranny should be replaced. The steel ones will not spread and spin on the shaft under stress.
If you want good inexpensive batts then look up Ballistic batteries. Just add the www and .com with no spaces. Tell him dockman sent you. He will treat you right and save you a few bucks.

Youre right hpiguy, you dont get a higher top speed what I should have said was better acceleation. You get a better punch coming out of the turns. Faster times not faster speeds.
