Dose anyone know if you have to use regular shock oil in shocks, or can you sub, the shock oil, and use a light oil like 3-in-one oil? The 3-in-one oil is a little thicker and seems that it would give a firmer ride. Dose anyone know?

3-in-1 oil is actually too thin if I'm thinking of the same stuff. You can use any type of oil you want, it's just been proven that the silicone-based oils made specifically for R/C cars is more consistent and precise in viscosity ratings and less effected by changes in temperature. None of this is especially important if you're not racing, so give a few different oils a shot if you'd like. You might save some money.

OK thanks, I'll try some things to see if they will work.
