what is the best way to remove stripped head screws? and can you do it with out recking the threds in the head?

put the cut-off wheel on yer dremel and make a slot in the head of the screw thus making it possible to use a blade screwdriver to remove it.

Slotting the srew with a dremel does work. However if you don't have a dremel, or if you can't reach the head of the screw with the dremel, then you can try an easy out bit. I've used them before with great success. Basically the bit has threads going in the opposite direction, so as you drill it into the head of the srew it digs itself into the head of the screw, while at the same time twisting the screw out.

The link above is an example of what I'm talking about. You can find screw extractors at almost any hardware store, the trick is finding one the correct size. Don't worry if you can't find "easyout" bits. Its a brand name, but its kinda like Kleenex. Everyone calls screw extractors Easyouts, and everyone calls facial tissues Kleenex.
