Here's a few pics of my track that I am working on in my back yard, spare me the insults, lol... I know its little, and pretty dumb, but its fun to do and it should be fun to run on. (charging my batts right now)

tell me what you think. remember, its just for my own amusement and no one else will be running on it. :D

The track is a fun idea but I have no need for a track I just run my truck through the snow. :D

Why not make the track out of packed snow?.You can put a very light layer of salt on it overnight and it will get rock hard. You should make one of the straights curved but otherwise looks like some fun.

It shouldn't be that hard to make them...just go to a hot topic or any store that sells the metal studs(ya know like a spiked collar type of metal stud). and apply them as you would on a jacket or leather wrist band on your tires before you glue them to the rim.Or you could wrap some dog leash type chains around your tires.
Actually..thats a pretty sweet idea...thanks TC4RACER. I think I'm going to try it.

Make your own...

its hard..i tried..at least my way of doing it anyway..putting brads in the tire(brads are small nails about 1/2 inch long if you didnt know) and it kinda hurts putting the tire back on..they were old tires.. .although i did think of the chain idea maybe ill do it later if i ever get my rc running..

If you have snow, and ur an onroad person, compact the snow on the ground, trying to make it evenly flat, then shower it with hose water untill it is ver slivk, and hard. Perfect track for Drifting, Ive done it.!!!!

Self tapping sheet metal screws works well, but you need HARD rubber to get them to stay in. I did this with my old Blackfoot tires and it worked like a charm. Sure makes some nice sparky burnouts too!

BUMMED

Snapped my emaxx chassis in 2 tonight... got crooked off a jump and landed on one back wheel, cold weather did the rest.

If you want good grip for your tires while you drive in the snow take thumb- tacks and push them threw the tires.

ya that snow track is a really good idea, never thought of it. it would be easy to make jumps and things. Im going to vermont tomorow, maybe ill bring my rc and try it. And a about traction, i use the flat thumb tacks, and poke them through the tires, like italiannitroman said.
