Well sounds like you put on too many coats for one and you probaby didn't wash your body good enough.

This is first time I have used the liquid masking. I washed the inside of the body, put 5 coats of the mask, cut the pattern I wanted pealed and painted. Now that I have pealed all of the masking off it looks horrible!!! I have jagged edges along the pattern edges and the paint didn't stick where I pealed the mask away or the paint pealed with the mask!
What Happened? Any Ideas????
Thanks

ahh your probably right about the knife blade, didn't think of that. Also with all those layers on there you would need to make sure you're blade was extremly sharp.
I have used liquid mask many times before with good results. Dont give up on it yet!
One thing that comes to mind is that you may have had a dull blade whan you were cutting the mask. The knife blade may have tugged on the mask, separating the bond to the body (and letting paint in under the mask), rather than cutting it. I use an Xacto knife (#11 blade). I use a brand new blade. Sometimes I will change the blade halfway, if I have a lot to cut. One tip: Snap off the tip of the #11 blades and the knife will not "wander" as easily when cutting.
I hope this helps.

The blade was right out of the box! You are right about the mask pulling up a little with the blade. I had fewer problems where the mask was a little thicker.
Thanks
