You know the air cans you use to blow dirt out of your keyboard or electronic equipment, can you use those same air cans to blow onto r/c cars to blow off loose dirt/debris on the chassis area??

I don't see why not, air is air.

50?? No way buddy, crank that sucker up. Mine runs 120 psi and works great. you're not going to break anything with air....

using an air compressor to clean of your car saves ALOT of time! If its a nice powerful one it'll get most of thee crap out and it gets everywhere so you dont have to take your car apart as much. Obviously it doesn't replace usual maintenance and bearing replacement and such but it is a luxury to be able to clean your car so easily.

I use the computer stuff on my GT, the only problem is that it won't handle mud. Usually my track is just very dusty, and for light dust and dirt the computer cleaner works great. For serious mud you really have to take the car apart and do a thorough cleaning with water and scrubbing brushes.

I use my air compressor every time I'm done running my vehicles. It comes in very handy after running through snow and you want to get all the ice and water off as soon as possible.

Make sure you wear saftly gogles when blasting with the air compresor anything that hits your eye could cause severe problems. also as for psi crank it the higher the better.

Yes, you CAN break things with air, and also blow stuff into your eyes. 50 PSI is a bit safer than the Tim-the-tool-man 120. :D I usually go for 60-80. You can use canned air but it gets expensive, it would take about twn cans to pay for a cheap compressor.

yeah my friend has an air compressor running at 150 psi and it has hurt nothing.

Doesn't really matter what psi you set it at. The higher the psi the more grit and dirt you can spray off. Our local track has a compressor for people to clean their cars and we use it anywhere between 30psi and 70psi.

I think it will get expensive really fast, thats why im saving for compressor. And ive noticed if you use denaturated alcohole to remove gunk and then blow it with air it works miracles

I use canned air, but not to clean my car off, but instead to cool the motor. If you spray the can upside down onto an electric motor, it can make a huge difference in temperature.

I use a fan to cool my motor off after a run on a hot day.

I don't mean after a race, but rather before it. This keeps the magnets stronger throughout the race, and helps keep the brushes from discoloring.

Whats the use of cooling a motor down once its done being in use? Thats like buying an suit for a dance you have already attended, lol

I run my air compreser always from 80-150 psi all the time. It really is a time-saver!

Canned air is good for the track when you need to blow out dirt from around the glow plug before taking it out...

I always end my day with spraying down my car with a mixture of Easy Green and water. Then I use my compressor at about 100 Psi to blow it off to a brand new apperance. This stuff is non toxic, and is made from natural materials. It is safe for you cars, and gets them super clean. You can get like a gallon jug that you mix with water for like $5 and it last forever.

As for Compressor Pressure, Its common sense. You can use a high setting, just take care as to what you are aiming at, dont blow into your bearings, servos, or carbs, or motors. Chances are with a high pressure setting you will move material into what you are cleaning, and do more harm than good.

Another thing that works great for cleaning, is get yourself a cheap, 2" paintbrush, with fairly course bristles. This is a great way to clean your car off. For tight spots, Use your old tooth brush.

Something like THIS (http://www.metrotek.com/can-air.htm) claims 71psi. I usually use my dads air compressor set around 100-120 psi to get all the mud and water off.
