I was wondering if anyone knows anything about the GT LX and if it has a kickup or not.

I don't think it does. I think the Worlds GT was the first OFNA buggy with kickup. Then came the Worlds II and MBX's.

Erik (killer87) means the RTR version.
But he doesn't know how to write well. :(

The RTR ofna GTLX does not have any kick up, but the Ofna Worlds II does.

I don't know why OFNA doesn't put kickup in there cars too much any more...besides$$
The ONLY ones that have it are the Worlds 1 & 2.
I dont think that the new Hyper7.0 has any either but the new design is so that the front tires are the first thing to hit as a leading edge...but that only helps so much.
Ofna used 5*
kyosho used 8*
mugen used about 6*
not much compared to a T3 or xxxT
but every bit helps

I have a couple of worlds... when sitting next to a GT LX they are VERY simmilar except the top brace from the steering posts to the gear box however...
I think that the front steering geometry would be thrown off a little... & I never checked the bolt pattern undeneath either.
maby you can find someone locally with one...
Good luck trying to get any help from OFNA there cust. service is poor.

Okay, I just looked at the HongNor website and compared the parts numbers from the Worlds II and the Ultra GT. The chassis is different (obviously!) but a lot, and I mean just about every part in the kit, are the same. It looks like GT owners can just buy the Worlds II chassis, side wings, and rear brace system and have a pseudo Worlds II. The front caster angle on the Ultra GT can be adjusted for sharper steering which will compensate for the kick-up, somewhat. This looks like something I will be doing in the near future!

Great considering the Worlds II is 100 bucks more

The Hyper 7 has front kick-up. I looked at the kit yesterday at Ace-Hobbies and the chassis plate definitely has kick-up. It's subtle but there.

I basically got my used Ultra GT for about $250 which included a few upgrades. Another $100 isn't all that bad. The conversion won't add that much money to what I have already.

If you get the GT LX the only way to get kick up in it is to go off a jump and get about ten feet of air and then give it a lawn jart type landing.

Well, I got the Worlds II chassis and wings yesterday. Moved the front and rear diff housings as well as the center diff without any problems. Moved the engine, too. The drive dogbones fit fine except the front one seems a bit short.

Problems: Radio tray is totally different. The upper brace between the front diff housing and the steering pilot shafts does not fit (I have the older style brace), the brace from the steering pilot shafts to the center housing does not fit, the rear swaybar mount hits the chassis, and my Paris .21 pipe does not fit. Otherwise, it went well.

I'll be stopping by Ace later today to buy a few more parts to get it fixed.

Yeah, like I'm really going to do that ;)
