I was just looking at the Hobby People website looking for the Team Associated RC10GT RTR. And I could not find it at their site. The only place I was able to fing it was at Tower Hobbies?

I second that! Boy oh boy, what a dumb thing to change an ICON's name! Hobby People just doens't cut it. Hobby Shack is sooooo much better, and a name I have been used to since the early 70's.
I have numerous products still with the Hobby Shack name. I have a 10th anniversary Hobby Shack decal (very cool!) on my toolbox at work.
Changing the name was like losing a relative. It just stinks. In 1978 I helped stock the shelves and open the store in Encino. Back then we had to wear dress slacks, and a shirt and tie to work behind the counter, LOL! :D Hobby Shack should change their name back. And you know what's really funny? When you pay by credit card at their store, the receipt STILL says "Hobby Shack".
I shouldn't be so invested in a name I suppose. But it really is a sore spot with me. :(

I live within riding(bike) distance of a hobby people(it should be shack again) and their service is ECCELENT service. A while ago, on my Novak Dually esc, the wires that go to the rx got cut. I brought it in, they soldered on new wires for FREE. I gave them some cash, but wow, free. They also soldered tamyia plugs onto my Dually too(for free) they have awesome customer service, and have great prices.  :D :D

Hobby People is an absolute joke as a hobby store. About a year ago at my local store in Pasadena, they fired their entire staff because some one was stealing. These guys knew their stuff and the place was decent, but now they have a new staff in there every week. Their knowledge of R/C is limited and they do not know their way around the store. On top of that, Hobby People's stock is patheticaly limited.

I sure wish they would go back to Hobby Shack too. But then Radio Shack would just sue them like they did Auto Shack, now Auto Zone. Radio Shack was taken off of my Christmas list immediately after that happened.
WillJ,
Just because the Hobby People store in your area isn't that good doesn't mean that you should condem the entire franchise. I have been to a lot of food chain franchises that one particlular store had horrible staff, food, or what ever but that doesn't always mean that all of the franchises are horrible.
Just my 1.456 cents,

I walked into that Pasadena Hobby People last week and had a wonderful experience there. I inquired for some prices and commented "wow, your prices are great, even comparable to Tower." The sales person told me that they would not only match online prices but give you 10% off on top of the matched price. For that reason alone, I will support Hobby People. You all should too.

I did mention this experience happened at my local Hobby People, and I did not state that they are corrupted as a whole. I was not clear; sorry for any confusion this may have caused.
