i wanna get into 1/8 buggies because they look like a blast. i am thinking of getting the Thunder tiger EB4 but i am not sure. does anyone know if this is a good car. also does anyone know of a buggy that can give me the same performance for a bit less. the buggy only needs to come with an engine

try one of the onfa buggies, there a good price..
Definetly an ofna buggy. They are coming out without a new buggy called the hyper 7...all Ofna vehicles are known for low prices but above average performance.

well... could that new ofna buggy be able to keep up with or beat an EB4 or MP7.5????
i am lookin for a buggy that can do sumin like that
the hyper 7 is gonna be competive but it's going to be a longer wait than anticipated as the tiawan economy is flying like a rock after the dpp prez got elected

Andrew, the cars don't drive themselves...so it's pointless to ask if an OFNA will keep up with a 7.5 or a Mugen. It's all in the driving...give a 1985 Kyosho to Richard Saxton, and he'll whoop your butt no matter what you're driving (even if it's a Kanai 7.5!). See what I'm sayin? http://www.rccaraction.com/ubb/wink.gif
Get what you can afford & upgrade later. There isn't a 1/8 buggy on the market that isn't fun...some are just a little more limited race-wise than others.
Couldnt have said it better myself.

BAH humbug.
see when i am lookin into a 1/8 i am lookin for sumin that is race competitive. i mean i am not gonna go out and blow 350 on a car that would stand a chance in a race. When i ask those questions that seem moronic, i mean which is fastest and handles best with a stock setup

Drew, It all depends on what you want to do. If your only going to "backyard bash" then maybe an ofna is the way to go, due to its "entry level price." I'm not trying to put ofna down but lets face it, it is designed to be for the first time novice. The other kits, Mugen, Thunder tiger, and Kyosho, are pretty tricked out rides designed for people who want to race. I personally own an EB4 limited, and love it to death. Out of the box nothing except the new Kyosho 7.5 W.E. handles as good. If you want to hit some cool sites go to: www.nationalrc.com, (http://www.nationalrc.com,) and www.twf8.ws/index.html (http://www.twf8.ws/index.html) these are some good places to visit, along with www.acehobby.com. (http://www.acehobby.com.) Ace has a forum board just for the EB4, and other owners frequent the site as well. http://www.rccaraction.com/ubb/smile.gif
