I have a LRP IPC Pro Sport esc and it doesn't spin the motor the right way. It will make the car go backwards rather than forwards. I have tried resetting it many times but it still does it. The wires are all right but if I change the polarity it spins the right way. If I leave the wires changed, will it do damage or will it be fine? Could it have been screwed up if I plugged the motor wires into the battery spot and the battery into the motor spot?(dumb mistake). Can it be fixed if I send it in for repairs?

Are you SURE you have the leads soldered onto the motor correctly, just double check that cause if you matched up the color on the wires, you would think it was hooked up right, but the motor leads might be attached to the motor in the wrong polarity. check it out, other than that, I would email LRP and see if the have any ideas.

I am 100% sure that they are connected correctly. They esc worked fine for a while until now. I think I screwed it up plugging the things up wierd. It works fine when I revesre the polarity but I shouldn't have to do that since it worked good before.

What type of motor are you running? If its rebuildable and you recently took it apart then there is a good chance you didn't put it back together correctly meaning you rotated the endbell 180 degrees. Rebuildable stock motors are usually keyed so you can't do this but with modifieds it is very easy to overlook this when you reasemble them.

Now the esc isn't even working now! How long does it take to get an esc repaired and how much(esitmate)?

There goes my theory. The price to get it repaired can vary depending on what is wrong with it but expect somewhere between $30 - $60 and expect it to be gone for a few weeks.

I was told that the Pro Sport has a lifetime warranty, so it shouldn't cost anything.
