Is Omni Models part of the Great Plains empire?

I'm just wondering if Omni Models is part of Great Plains? Seeing as they are the exclusive distributor of Kyosho and OS Engines. Plus they are Tower Hobbies. Omni Models has the same 'feel' as Tower. Even the ads kinda look the same. Anyone have any insight into this?

I do not think so? I like towerhobbies ads because they have more good quality pics that are color and they have captions for there products like the Speedmarts. Omnimodels does not have brochures anymore and you have to go to their website for Stock #'s. So I do not think they have the same "feel". An advantage Omni has is that their shipping is 1.99 less than towerhobbies.

yes I like omni models their prices are slightly cheaper than tower's and if u spend more than $100 you get free shipping. But tower has the best selection. hobby people also has prices like omni models and have most of the same stuff as tower but it stocks different items that tower does'nt have and tower had some items that hp don't have.

Ok just so you both know.

OMNIMODELS and TOWER HOBBIES are owned by GREAT PLANES.

They are the same company.

They run both places, (same warehouse) for business purposes.

i.e. If you dislike Tower, you might order from Omni, and vice versa. It's just a way to get more stuff moving out.

Yes they are all part of the same company.

DURATRAX is it's own company (according to them that is), but is solely DISTRIBUTED by GP.

DYNAMITE is not owned or even distributed by GP. It is distributed by Horizon Hobbies exclusively.

Try to get stuff right before you give answers.

It gets quite annoying when people dish out false info.

As far as Tower and Omni having different products and different prices they carry the same stuff at the same prices except for sale items. If one of them has it in stock then the other does also. You can compare back and forth from each now that Omni has improved their web site. Also if you compare the ads in RCCA the list is the same and will even have the same typos as the other.
