I just got a new pair of hitec servos for my Nitro Sport and am having trouble installing them.
I'm new at this, so please bear with me.
The problem is that the traxxas servo horns don't fit on the hitec servos. And the hitec servo horns don't fit the traxxas parts.
Do I just need to drill the hitec servo horns to fit the traxxas parts? Or is there a way to adapt these?

Do not drill. They fit together just like a set of gears so if you drill, they will slip. You might have to buy a new servo saver because they come with three inserts that fit between the servo output shaft and the servo saver. They are different sized for different brands. You will need to use the one that fits the hitec servo. The hitec output is a 24 spline.

I wasn't thinking of drilling the splined part, I was thinking of drilling the ends of the servo horns (I guess that's what they're called) to fit the larger screws on my truck.
I'll go to the hobby shop tomorrow and see what they have.

Just buy a decent Kimbrough servo saver for yours and you will be happy!

Ok, so you're talking about the holes in the end of the servo horns that the linkage goes through? If that's right then definatly yes, you can drill the holes to make the part fit.
