For all you dealer types out there...
Are there any companies that sell factory direct to dealers? Or do all the major brands (Losi, AE, Traxxas, ect) only sell through distributors??
Is Tower Hobbies/Great Plains the only major distributor of R/C products in the country??? Boy, it sure seems like it.... LOL
My point here is that is seems like Great Plains is doing its dealers a great dis-service by selling their products so cheaply through Tower Hobbies to non-dealers. Every time someone buys from Tower, they are essentially buying directly from the distributor, which robs LHS's of much needed rent money. I have never seen an industry where the distibutors basically rob customers from their dealers.
And since it looks like Great Planes distributes dern near every brand under the sun, they end up taking TONS of sales away from your mom and pop dealer just down the road. If it was just Losi, or just AE, or just Traxxas, then it wouldnt be so bad. But G.P. handles them all!!!!
