Just picked up this body

And i'm gonna use cans to paint it...
I'm either gonna paint it a yellow or a blue(one color paint job)
What my real question is once i lay down my initial coat what color should i back it with... i'm asuming white?? is there a certain kind of paint to back it with.
and how many color and how many backing color coats should I lay... thanks.

I'm sure you already know this, but when laying your color down, do several very light coats. Allow drying time plus a little extra in between coats. Once you're satisfied that the color is layed down evenly, hold the body up to the light and check it again. Silver is a great color to use for yellow or blue. Once the silver is on, you can back that with a couple thin coats of white, just to even everything out.
Your backing color needs to be sprayed evenly and lightly as well. For each coat of paint you put on, it needs to be very light, allowed to thoroughly dry, and even all the way through.
Good choice on the body. If you have silver, white, blue and yellow, do a two color choice. Do a quick design/scheme for the front half and spray the back half blue. Do a quick line across the middle from left to right (zig zags would look cool) in silver. This way, the silver will be the last color that shows through. So, the entire underside would already be coated in silver, so just a quick couple of coats of white will make it all stand out. Just a thought.
