i had one similar to that one, it was the gray one with the black "comfort grip" handle

and i hate to say but the thing is a peice of junk, for a beginner its allright to learn on but i think you got taken in by the flashy gimmicks and lots of cool little parts to play with, its easy to do, and happend to me as well, if you can i would recomend taking it back and purchacing an iwata or pashe, you dont need an expensive one but an economical kit will run about 70 and you'll have a great brush to use and will last 50X's longer than that one, you can aska few other of the paint "pros" around here and theyll telly you that the tips were out about as fast as a peice of toilet paper! and at about 10 bucks a pop your paying testors a whole lot more than the 120 you dished out before hand. the little plastic tips just wear out to fast, and you can acheive the same "splatter" effects with a regular brush just hold a peice of paper up to the nozzle about half way on, and it will do the same thing. the reason the tips wear out so fast is because paint is basically a sprayable plastic, and when it sticks tot he plastic tips its bonds to it on a molecular level and over time (3-4 bodys) your performance starts to diminish, same concept asusing primer in a cheap spray gun and using base and clear in a better high quality one.

as far as recomendations for other burshes, the iwata hp-c is one of the best ones you can buy, but there are the revolution and eclipse series that will work just as well and for about 40 bones less.

pashe has some good ones but im not to familar with them, im strictily an iwata man, just brand preferance you could say,

as long as you maintaine and clean your brush it will last you a long long time

sorry bout the bad news i always try and steer people away from flashy gimmicks and high priced accesories that do nothing but cause trouble

although on the loop side of this, if your only doing a few bodies just to paint the shell and go race then it should be fine for a while.

but quality blends and tight fine lines are going to be none exsistant with that brush when you start "custom" painting
