Hello Folks. I finally found a new body to complete the restoration of my old Turbo Ultima. My question is: Does anyone have a picture of the Turbo Ultima you can link me to? I lost the instruction manual so I have no visual reference on paint/decal placement. Thanks for your help!!

Cool cover. I really dig the hat. I've done some searching on the web and didn't find anything either. I even checked ebay. I know someone was selling a Turbo Ultima with box a while back. I thought I saved the picture from the auction but I must have deleted it or something.

Rich - I have an original Turbo Ultima in the box with the instructions. Let me know what parts you need help with and I'll get you the info, or maybe I could copy the pages for you.

Steve!! If you could copy the instruction manual...you will bee my hero. My wife and I will name our first boy Steve. http://www.rccaraction.com/ubb/smile.gif If you don't have time to copy then a picture of the box will do. I just want to be able to see where to put the decals and if the body is painted only white.
The only hard to find parts I think I'm missing are the original chrome plated wheels. For some reason, I sanded the chrome off my original wheels and painted them black. Why did I do that? I have no idea. It was 12 years ago. Anyways, a part number would be nice for those as well the tires.
Anyways, Steve, thanks for your help. You are the best!

THANKS STEVE!!! Okay, all I need now are the part numbers for the wheels and tires. If you could post them here, that would be great. Also, just for clarification, it appears that the rear deck is black? Thanks for your assistance.
P.S. Do you still have the little keychain thingy that came with it?

I was going to scan the instructions where it tells you what colors to paint and where, but it doesn't tell you at all. The picture on the box appears to have the entire rear deck lid painted black.
Here are the part no's for the wheels and tires:
Front wheel: UM-33
Rear wheel: UM-32
Front tire: SC-26
Rear tire: W-5032

Thanks for the part numbers. Now I know what to look for on ebay. They'll be a tough find like the body. I still have my keychain thingy too. http://www.rccaraction.com/ubb/smile.gif

Okay, here is a pic of my Turbo Ultima. Everything is or has been replaced with OE...except the wheels and tires obviously.

Looks very nice! http://www.rccaraction.com/ubb/biggrin.gif Now I'll have to build mine. Maybe we can race in a "classics" event, like they do in Monterey every year. Come to think of it........ NAH, I wanna keep mine clean. http://www.rccaraction.com/ubb/biggrin.gif

Yeah, I know. I was planning on painting them with the Pactra spray tint...yet another trip to the hobby shop. http://www.rccaraction.com/ubb/smile.gif I kinda like to see what's going under the body.
A classics event would be cool. I don't know if I'd race mine either.

If you decide to paint the windows black, be sure to mask the windows again and spray silver paint to back up the white paint. Other wise the black will show through the white paint.

Great tip Steve!! Now THOSE are the kinds of tips I'd like to see in the Mag and websites more often!! Even a separate forum for painting tips would be cool!
