We were aware of it, we were just waiting for a better photo before we posted it. Thank you however, for keeping everyone informed. I like the title of this one much more than the last one... LOL! http://www.rccaraction.com/ubb/smile.gif Honestly, thanks for reposting with the new title - much more constructive.

Steve, so that's what you've been hiding from me. Could you post more pics and tell us more info on this truck? Thanks.

BorG - as soon as we have photos that show more detail, we'll post them. We have the same photo that everyone else has seen, in which you can barely see that there are motors instead of an engine. I'll check with Traxxas to see if there are any different photos.

Steve, thanks for the reply man. Hope you could get those photos soon. I called traxxas yesterday and they wouldn't tell me a thing about this truck. It was announced as TOP SECRET. Well it's not a secret anymore! And Steve, if you get a pre-production truck from Traxxas, why not go to Xtreme R/C in New Milford to show the rig to some of the guys like me.

BTW, lol@Madmaxx.

When traxxas puts a price between 250-300 bucks or less, I am not really discouraged by it. By paying this amount of money, you get an amazing product that will sure take a beating like it's nitro brother.

I am amazed (and excited) about all the enthusiastic E-Maxx posts on this outstanding message board. I thought I would clear the air, however, about the mixed feelings of having dedicated 14-volt motors instead of standard motors that we are all familiar with. The truth is, however, that the E-Maxx's specially wound motors have the same bolt pattern as any 550 Mabushi motor, which means that it's compatible with any .05 size motor that's available. Yes, Trinity, Team Orion, Reedy and all other motors will bolt right onto the E-Maxx's thick aluminum motor mount without any modifications. The E-Maxx will include a dedicated electronic speed control (ESC), which allows the motors to run extremely cool to provide long run times even though both battery packs (the E-Maxx requires 12-cells) are wired in series for maximum power. The result is blazing fast acceleration and respectable top speeds. I hope this post answers some of the E-Maxx questions on this bulletin board.

Nice words their Big G. I'm sure that the motors and ESC's will not be a problem. The E will also handle 14 cells at once. Now about the motors: I'm sure that some company like trinity will make aftermarket ones when the rig comes out. I mean, EVERYBODY wants a piece of this truck and they want to cash in.

Looks like there will be a E-Maxx class at most tracks. I just hope that when traxxas releases it they are ready for the high demand and it doesn't go on backorder for 3 or 4 months like the T-Maxx did.

I think traxxas is already producing the E-maxxes right now. I think that they are just telling the market that it is a pre-production truck. I'm sure that the E-maxxes will be on back order, but hopefully not as long as the T-maxx. Traxxas will make sure of that.

BorG,
Maybe a new class @ XRC?? Hmmm could be FUN!

BorG

Bob, maybe if the E-maxxes comes out, they could have a class where both the electric and nitro versions of the t-maxx could race together. That would be awesome! I hope that Xtreme R/C will also have an independent class for the E-maxx, racing needs to be fair, too. I never raced my T there on Sundays cuz I never find any time. But I usually go there on the weekdays, especially on Thursday. Any new info on the E-maxx would ne nice....
