It seems that no one in st louis sells a bulb type discharger, so i want to try to make my own...

so can anyone tell me exactly what type of light bulbs to buy and how many bulbs are needed?? i know they have to be wired in parallel, and they are automotive 12v type lights... and after a race i should hook up my battery packs till the lights start to get really dim...

any instructions or links to instructions would be highly appreciated.... http://www.rccaraction.com/ubb/smile.gif http://www.rccaraction.com/ubb/smile.gif http://www.rccaraction.com/ubb/smile.gif

thanks for the link bro... but i really do not do any mail order... i like to support my local retailers whenever possible.... and with this little project i suspect that i can build a discharger for less than 10 bucks.. which i would much rather do than spend 25 to 40 bucks plus shipping for a deans discharger from tower...

if you do build this device get a deans black box cuz it will prevent over discharging, i think the bulbs are 6 volt and in serires

In the February 2000 edition of RCCA, they explain how to make a battery dumper, in the "How To" section.
