tire glueing

I messed up a glue job on one of the front tires of my RC10GT and need to remove the glue so that I can try again. What methods might I use to do so?

you can try boiling them or using acetone....

Well, I just pulled really hard on a part that you may have missed when gluing, adn it will come off, its not pretty, but hey, it works!~

What if the wheels were chrome? Would boiling take the chrome off?
