Hi all
Seemed to me nothing really changed in the last months concerning 1:10 sport vehicles ... Wild willies, light buggies ok ... But what's even more fun today in this budget class ?
What kit or RTR do you think is the best value fun ?!
Just looking for a basic 1:10 machine
Thanks !

I would suggest the Evader myself. It was my first RTR Electric off-road truck and I love it. Comes from the factory set up just the way it should be for good back-yard bashing and has alot of nice features such as a 20 Turn motor, ESC, a fairly good radio in my opinion for just the basher but has alot of tuneability with the suspension and otherwise such as being able to transfer battery weight from the front to the rear to give you better weight bias, adjustable ball differential, slipper clutch, and ball bearings throughout the chassis. So when you get more experienced you can try different suspension geometrys and such, plus when you find that it isnt working out too great, the intruction manual comes with all the information you need to adjust it back to factory trim by including all the turnbuckle lengths and positions. It is a very good RTR and you wont be displeased by it. I still have mine which ive had for about 2 years now and nothing has went wrong with it.

I have a Traxxas Stampede and I like it a lot. Fun jumping and everything, it's a real workhorse.

Sure I like the Evader. At a point I helped a newbie to buy one from France directly to tower and he's very satisfied with it compared to all the bad stuff we pay high here ( a blazing star kit is around 190$ equal here)
I just realize that's there nothing new in the 1:10 dept ... All manufacturer efforts seem to be on the sub-scales (bad for bashing everywhere around) and on +4kg MTs ...
The Stampede is a good base too !

from what I have seen, for bashing, a 4wd vehicle will get you out of the most trouble and bring you over the roughest terrain. When I used to bash my XX-4 versus my T3, I always liked how I could take a rock pile or other obstacles and that full time 4wd just kicked in ( actually, it had that clicker thing in it but it worked great ).
Right now I think a 4wd electric stadium truck would be a great thing for somethign to make that isn't based on some exposed belt system like the HPI one was ( that inner body kept things hot ).
Put some J-Dawg tires on there and watch her rip.

I recently hesitated for a Twin Detonator or a wild dagger ... Simple but efficient design for bashing ...
I'd love a very light 2WD design or a true go-everywhere 4WD like you said, w/o any dust/debirs pb in the tranny
