It should fit, but a small drilling might be necessary due to the long outstanding pins up front, normally the bearing sits there, maybe it has to be trimmed a little !!

Itīs not that much Money to dremel around ;-)

Here is a quick pic of the new layout of my 777 buggy. I wanted to rework it to fit my regular 6 cell packs.

How does it run? And is that a MGM controller that I see?

Yes... MGM 120 in a heatsink sandwich. :)

It runs awesome. Unbelievable power on just 12 cells and especially on 4s lipo.

Motor runs hot and the controller gets hot after a while. Motor will get to 180-200 range and the esc will get to 150-180 but still will thermal sometimes. I have just played with it and haven't monitored things real close lately but I will soon.

Where were you able to find a heatsink for the mgm 120?

Just a generic aluminum heatsink... zip tied to the "stock" plate heatsinks. I used some I found at CompUsa sold as a graphics card heatsink kit.

I plan to fit the sinks better... but for now they are just held tight by zipties.

Anyone know where to get some thermal adhesive that will hold the sink on better than the stock paste? The stock hs plates come off pretty easy without the shrink wrap.

I took off the shrink wrap already trying to get the temps down.

I got my thermal adhesive paste at an electronics/computer store called "Fry's Electronics". Try your local electronics store if you don't have a Fry's near you.

Thermal adhesive won't support too much weight..but I got some at my local electronics/computer store (Maplins). Should work well for just a small heatsink though.

Radio shack sells some heat transfer paste, small tube.

Is the paste usually an adhesive? I figured it was just like a grease. I guess the stuff on the MGM is a little sticky but I wouldn't call it glue. It's more like soft chewing gum.

Anyway, when I get some time, I want to mount the esc in a heatsink sandwich with a fan too. Hopefully that will keep things cool.

It is a paste and not a glue.
