Hi, Im sorta stuck trying to decided what to do. There is a touring car track that opened up near my house last summer, now I dont know if I should get a tc and try racing there and take advanted of the track. The problem is that I like off road( I have a T-maxx) so Im not shure if I will like the whole on road stuff, then get bored of it and there are not any off road tracks anywhere near me so I cant race off road if I wanted. Also if I did get a touring car I dont know if I should get a electric and go nitro. So maybe you guys could give me your opinions on what to do( get a tc or stay off road) and that if I do which kind of car to get ( electric or nitro)
Thanks a bunch

Skateboarded, I felt the same way up until about a year ago. I always had off-road r/c's, nitro and electric. Then one day I just decided "what the heck" and bought my first TC, it was a cheap Traxxas electric 4-tec. It was a blast! Since then I moved to a Hpi pro2, and now a Yokomo Mr4 Pro. I know you cant catch any air or anything, but setting up a track out of cones, pvc, whatever, and then having friends over for a practice makes it awesome! Racing A TC cant really be described, its kinda hard, and a thrilling rush at the same time. If I had to choose between racing my offroad Truck or TC, I'd go with my TC everytime, but luckily I can do both so I dont have to choose. As far a gas is concerened I tried a hpi nitro rs4 for a while, but got tired of buying belts, and a-arms for it. Yes, it is faster than electric, but the power of the nitro can make it a hand full at times. I can get my Yokomo pretty darn near close to the speed my nitro had with a mod, plus the weight of it keeps it planted controlably. The nice thing about electric is that there are more classes to choose from, stock, 19T, modified and everything else. And with todays batteries, you can easily get 10min with a mod or about 15-20min with a stocker. I would highly suggest that if you do go TCing, and electric, take a look at the associated TC3 racer, and yokomo MR4-tc, both are around $140, have BB's, and cvd drive shafts. Hope this helps http://www.rccaraction.com/ubb/smile.gif
