I was wonder if 100 bucks is worth it for a servo. I race stock TRUCK. Should I buy a $50 servo or a $100 servo?

I think my airtronics 94357 and 94358's are worth every penny of their $109 mail order price. Depends what you want and what you can afford though. You also need a good radio to take advantage of good servos; when I had my 357/358 hooked up to my Magnum Sport they were ok-- fast but they acted very "notchy", clicking from position to position. Now that I have an M8 they act like entirely new servos. Much, much smoother response and more precise-- I think this is because the potentiometers in the M8 have much higher resolution than my Magnum Sport. Even my older servos act totally different when hooked up to my Magnum Sport compared to how they act compared to my M8; on the M8 they are MUCH smoother.
If you don't want to fork out $100+ on a servo I recommend looking at some of the HiTec servos in the $50-$75 range, they have some nice BB metal geared servos that have decent torque and speed.

Get a Hitec metal gear servo. The 545 has 50 some oz. torque at .17 secs. The 525 has about 50 torque at .12 secs. Those are both mid $30. Hitec corless servos are $80-$100. If you can get a deal on a used servo off eBay or somewhere else go for that. Just don't buy one that you think might be worn out.

I can afford the 100 dollar servo. I don't think that I would need one that good though.
My stock futaba 3003 is not very bad. I need one with speed.
I would like a futaba servo. The Hi-tec servo's s*uck. I striped out a metal gear servo from them.
