Hmm steel fighter eh. Is this a hobby grade RC? Meaning servos, receiver and everything is seperate?
If so, you probably should zero your steering servo.
sounds like torque steer to me, is it shaft driven?

how would i do that? there's like a lever at the bottom that says "wheel alignment" which you can adjust from left to right. since it keeps on turning right, i moved the lever to the left but still it wouldn't run straight.

Sounds like a radioshack car. Rip it apart and look at where the steering assembly is. Theres probably a little metal return spring kind of thing thats maybe bent out of shape. Bend er' back and see if that helps.

Yeah that's a Nikko meaning not hobby-grade. When you have a problem with a cheaper end toy, it sometimes means it will be very heard to replace the defective part or whatnot so that might mean you steering is going bad.

Uh oh... prepare to be shunned! Bringing a nikko on here sheesh...
But no worries, we're here to help. Chances are your car is not very servicable, which means its likely broken and not repairable. However, the good news is, that means you can tear it apart and see whats up. You probably can fix the steering, but it will mean opening the whole car. Have fun with it, and if you liked RC, get yourself a hobby grade car, you can get into a mini for cheap, look at the RC18T as an excellent start to hobby grade rc.

Problem with those types of vehicles there maybe little you can do in terms of adjusting things. The problems you are encountering if it were another type of rc vehicle could be contributed to several things.
1. misaligned servo, recenter servo and steering linkage so front wheels are pointing straight.
2. diff action too tight - in cars with adjustable diffs if set too tight will give one wheel more traction while the other constantly loose traction - this causes vehicle to pull more in one direction
3. chasses misaligned - if chassis is bent or suspension not mounted so it square may cause car to pull more in one direction under acceleration
4. motor (probably not the case here) if it produces high low end power, when the traction is less than ideal can cause vehicle to snap around this is also related to what in #2.

Theres not much you/we can do to help you out with it since its a non-hobby grade RC. If you really want to keep it and don't want to get rid of it, shoot Nikko an email asking them if they could help. OR if you want to spend a little extra money if you have it, but a used RC or new that can be upgraded and repaired when broken/damaged.
