Help, I've been looking here and there, but I cannot find a lexan or even styrene 1/10 scale r/c body of our full size car. Looking for manufacturers that are local in WA.

I doubt you'll find any. There aren't that many lexan body manufacturers and they all tend to do high volume bodies, with the exception of ABC which does some of the more unusual bodies but they are expensive and hard to find.

If you have some CAD skills, you can create a mold with their free software, and they will make the body for you.

thnx guys... now if only i have CAD skills... and a good windows emulator, that'd make life a little bit easier..

Haunted, ABC is in Japan, no? Well, in term of volume, I'm thinking of 100-200 first order actually... and more if the product did took off. It's off some well recognised, almost forgoten WRC machine back in the 80's that has quite a large number of cult members backing it.

irenl,

I believe ABC is in Japan. If you are going to do 100 to 200, I'd contact someone likve PTI at http://www.ptiracing.net/index2.htm Since they are small and have the actual real equipment, they would probably be in the position to do it. Do you have the licensing for the vehicle? My guess is many will ask if you have that so they aren't caught in any legal cross fire that may result.

Haunted,
yeah, i figured they'll ask for licensing...but there are ways i know of to get around it..
Tried the link above, looks like it's down...
And... yes, ABC is a japanese company..waay around the world... though the car originated there...
