I need some universals for my XXX-T. I don't want MIP CVD's. I bought some and when I'm half way trough the battery it falls apart!

It's pretty safe to assume you may have done something wrong or left out the threadlock or somehting with your CVDs.
If not, then have MIP warranty them, e-mail, or write them and explain your problem.
You won't find better than MIP for universals.

Nothing better than MIP CVD's. I agree with hpiguy, you must have assembled them incorrectly.

I have never used threadlock or heatshrinked over the pin on the CVD's on my RC-10 FTGT and they have NEVER come loose, even after 10+ tanks of fuel between rebuilding the CVDs. I don't even retighten them. The key is to get the setscrew nice and tight and to do that you need a good quality .050 wrench made from a drill blank. A cheap l-key won't cut it, you'll round the setscrew or the wrench. I use the associated wrench (about $10). Get the setscrew nice and tight, but not too tight. You shouldn't have a problem with the setscrew coming loose. If they don't work loose on my gas truck, they won't come loose on an electric. I have never had a problem with the CVD's on my RC-10 or my TC3 either.

I had the stock universals on my NXT and now my XXX-NT and they are fine. They never wore out throuth 4 gallons with a picco .12 on my NXT. I have never even considered anything else because I don't need it. I acually saw the owner of y track twist off the dogbone end of a Shiny CVD.

Wait.......Do I put the tread lock on the pin or the set screw? I have put huge amounts of tread lock on the set screw. I assembeled them how it says in the instuctions.
And another thing. My car gets twice as loud with the CVD's.
And I even put a new spur gear, pinnon gear, and rebuilt my transmisson and the sound doesn't go away!! The stock dogbones are not loud at all.

Are you using the right sized CVD's? if you were you wouldn't here ANYTHING. My guess is your CVD's are the wrong kind.

If there the wrong size why does everyone at my track have the same size as mine. And there's work fine.

Check to make sure your outdrives are not bent or damaged. Think about this, if everyone at your track has the same ones, adn they don't have any problems, why are you having them? Go ask the guys at the track whats up with your car see what they say.

They came apart the first time I drove them.
I wasn't even half way through my battery!
And if you think that mabey they got bent in that 4 min I don't think they could have cause I didn't crash once and I was driving on a really soft Oval

Yeah, make sure those suckers are the correct size. Just because your CVDs are the same size as your buddy's who has a B3 dosen't mean they are the right size for your XXX-T.
"HEY! We screwed up!"

The only reason they should fall apart is if the set screw does not make contact with the pin. If they are still falling off make sure that pin meshes with the CVD correctly and isn't in one side and out of the other side if that is teh case you should get them replaced.

I think what I'm going to do is put shrink wrap over the pin. It looks like a good idea.
