You need hardware that you can plug your camcorder in. You use those red, white, yellow cords to plug into the device. The device will then plug into your computer. The ones I've seen are a seperate box they cost 100 bucks.

All you need is a video capture card, it can either be external or internal depending on your choice. External capture cards though arn't as fast as internal ones though. After that all you have to do is hook up the A/V cables from your camcorder, vcr or even tv to capture the video.
