Well doesn't sound like your too experienced (correct me if im wrong:)), so maybe start out with a Stock (27 turn) or 19 turn. http://www2.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin/WTI0095P?FVSEARCH=stock+motor&FVPROFIL=++ <--some stock motors http://www2.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin/wti0095p?FVPROFIL=++&FVSEARCH=19t+motor&FVPROFIL=++ <--some 19 turn motors. Note: 19 turns will be a bit faster, but also require some more maintenence

yea, is there any brushed (non dragster) motor that costs over 100 bucks?

Trinity P2K (the first one not 2k2)
or
Trinty Speed Gems 19 turn

I agree with the other posts. Start off easy if you're new. And also be sure to upgrade your transmission if/when you do upgrade to a much more powerful motor (something in the 15 turn or lower range). The weakest part of the rustler/bandit seems to be the transmission idler gear. Replace it with the aluminum one and you'll be fine.
