Get off your high horses guys. I would rather they spent their time answering our questions, than reviewing all the sigs anyway. This website isn't the only thing they do all day you know. Cut them some slack.

why don't all you guys goto www.whateveraddy.com (http://www.whateveraddy.com) .....
see, anyone can still spam here if they wish...... removing signatures does not stop the problem at all...
it does however take away one very popular feature of this message board...
i am on a lot more boards than just this one... most boards with good moderators will remove the first offending post replaced with a warning... on the second offending post the violator gets an IP ban...
it's RCCA's board for sure.... they can do what they wish.... i just hope they THINK about what they are doing before punishing the masses next time....

a responsibe moderator would simply pull down the offending posts, instead of punishing the whole group by taking signatures away.....
thanks a lot Steve.....

Signatures are a problem in two ways. Too many people were registering only to take advantage of the hard work and expense we put into making these boards available, only to attempt to direct traffic towards thier own website. The second problem is that many users, even with the best of intentions, were placing very large images in their signatures. This greatly increases bandwidth requirements, which slows download times for YOU every time you try to load that particular thread. I would hope that you place much higher value on the content and dialog of the boards over a simple signature.

Mav - it certainly wasn't about you. You were very good about fixing your sig. There were others that weren't so helpful.
