Is Tekin gone?

I purchased a 112c in October of last year, and now it doesnt work properly. It no longer reads pack voltage, and will not charge a pack at all no matter if I use AC, or DC. I have tried calling Tekin but the phone company says the number is no longer in use. I have read on other postings that tekin is still around but I think there gone now. I'd really like to get this charger repaired so if anyone knows a place that fixes electronics please let me know.

There is some sorta Tekin conspiracy going on. Actually I had commented in another part of the forum that they didn't include any Tekin ESCs in the new issues Reverse ESC Round-up. An admin said it was rumoured Tekin was out of business, but then his reply disappeared. But if you haven't been able to get ahold of them, then it may be true that they are dead.

I heard that Tekin are down to like 2 people in a garage and they were like a company of 100 poeple. Thats why I didn't buy a Bc112. Instead, a Novak Millenium.

I remember when only the 'real" racers used Tekin ESCs. Their chargers were in everyone's pit area and they were highly respected. Where did they go wrong?

I've tried 2 differemt numbers I found for tekin, and both ended the same way, Phone company saying the numbers were no longer in use. I'd really like to get this charger fixed. $180 for 4 months use is unjustified, while my 112a has 2 more years on this one with hundreds of charges without any problems. I guess mismanagement of the company lead to its downfall. While this hobby has grown even bigger, one of our best manufacturers has gone away. For over 2 years now their ESC's have been out of stock on towers web sight. I should have taken the hint. I guess I'd better start looking for a new charger, if I cant get any other info on how to contact someone who can repair this.

I'd like to hear from SteveP or another editor of RCCA. It was puzzling why they didn't feature the Rebel and Titan ESC's in their recent guide.

There are people all over the country who have mailed BRAND NEW stuff to Tekin to get fixed and haven't heard a thing from them in 6 months.

Forget Tekin if you want your stuff back this decade, or ever again.

Go with Express Tech.

i would think Steve Pond or one of the other guys at RCCA would know if Tekin was still in business or not...
or perhaps there are some dealers that visit this board who may know more about the subject......

unless they've left in the past two months, they're still here, i sent my G-10 to them during december and got it back in january because of some shipping problems(they didnt see other address on paper), got it back, instead of repairing, they just sent a brand new one http://www.rccaraction.com/ubb/smile.gif
